在鋼鐵產業中,碳鋼材料的產品加工應用相當廣泛,其中緊固件用的線材或棒材從小鋼胚加熱到軋延成條狀後,鋼材中的碳化物其金相組織極易形成不規則的長條或片狀排列結構,導致材料硬度偏高不易加工,且加工精度與加工品質都很難管控。業界常見的做法就是送熱處理製程,鋼材經過球化退火工序後,原本鋼材在退火前的金相組織皆為片狀波來鐵為主的雪明碳鐵金相組織形態,退火後會形成近似球狀的碳化物散佈在肥粒鐵的基地組織中,進而鋼材的硬度下降,易於對鋼材進行塑性加工或切削加工。

MA-Pro金相分析軟體所選配的球化率分析模組功能,導入影像分析技術將機器學習方法應用於球化率分析,可以準確選取金相中的碳化物,再依要求圓率參數篩選出符合圓率的球狀碳化物,最終計數並量化出球化率的值,亦可設定長短軸比、最大直徑與面積等過濾條件參數,直接過濾不需要計算或過小的雜質,實現快速、自動化的球化率計算,從而提高球化率分析的準確性和一致性。以科學數據來管控生產參數,取代傳統依靠人工透過顯微鏡進行目視檢查,再依個人主觀經驗判斷球化級數的金相分析方法,避免人為因素誤判球化率而導致後續生產的加工成本增加以及產品良率下降問題,進而推動整個金屬加工行業的技術進步與發展,對於航空、汽車製造、建築等要求緊固件安全性與可靠性等級較高的產業,MA-Pro金相分析軟體是科學材料分析與金相分析實驗室必備的一大工程利器。

針對鋼材球化後的金相,業界以影像分析方式量化球狀碳化物形態的定義,通常是參考 JIS G 5502 及 ASTM Sphericity 標準規範所定義的球化形態,再由軟體以選取到的碳化物輪廓座標,利用圓率(Roundness)或圓度(Circularity)公式量化出符合條件的碳化物數量,再除以碳化物總數後計算出 Sphericity Analysis 球化率的值。

另外,日本 JIS G3507-2 與 JIS G3507-2 標準規範針對冷打或冷鍛的碳鋼或合金鋼,經球化退火後的球化率計算則是以較簡單的方式來計數碳化物的長寬比 < 5的比例來做為球化率評估的方法,或者是以金相顯微鏡在固定放大倍率下,透過目視觀察所看到的球化金相,再跟標準規範上所列的標準圖進行比對,對球化結果做出評級,但此方式判斷的結果可能存在較大的人為因素偏差,缺乏客觀的評估條件,判定的準確率也相當依賴個人的判定經驗。

提供聰明的灰階選取工具,自動偵測調整灰階閥值,一鍵找出黑色的球狀碳化物,亦可手動調整灰階選取範圍。軟體自動計數影像內所有選取的球狀碳化物,可設定將內部為中空型態的球狀碳化物填滿,並自動排除影像四周邊緣不完整的球狀碳化物,亦可彈性選擇依面積、圓率、最大直徑、最小直徑、長寬比、長短軸比等參數設定過濾條件,自動濾除細小雜值或其他夾雜物。

若球狀碳化物是呈現未封閉的C型輪廓或串連聚集在一起,導致軟體無法自動分割或填滿物件,軟體亦提供手動框選物件及手動切割物件,快速將選取物件的例外狀況做排除,提高分析結果的準確性。
